Chemistry - Education (7-12 Teaching Certification)
Prepare to Become a Chemistry Teacher
At Seton Hill, you have two options for preparing to earn teaching certification:
- you can earn your undergraduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry while also fulfilling all of the academic requirements for teaching certification in chemistry, or
- you can add teaching certification preparation courses to a bachelor's degree you've already earned at Seton Hill (or elsewhere) as a postbaccalaureate student.
Seton Hill is approved by the Pa. Dept. of Education to provide education certification preparation. If you plan to teach in another state, you can do that, too; Pennsylvania has signed an Interstate Certification Agreement. The Chemistry-Education Program at Seton Hill will prepare you to obtain certification in grades 7-12.
