Chemistry - Education (7-12 Teaching Certification)

Prepare to Become a Chemistry Teacher

At Seton Hill, you have two options for preparing to earn teaching certification:College of Distinction - Education

  1. you can earn your undergraduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry while also fulfilling all of the academic requirements for teaching certification in chemistry, or
  2. you can add teaching certification preparation courses to a bachelor's degree you've already earned at Seton Hill (or elsewhere) as a postbaccalaureate student

Seton Hill is approved by the Pa. Dept. of Education to provide education certification preparation. If you plan to teach in another state, you can do that, too; Pennsylvania has signed an Interstate Certification Agreement. The Chemistry-Education Program at Seton Hill will prepare you to obtain certification in grades 7-12.
