Graphic and Interactive Design (Certificate)

Design is an Exciting, Ever-Changing Profession

The Graphic and Interactive Design Certificate at Seton Hill is a two to three-year part-time program that will prepare you with a body of knowledge and skills required for entry-level jobs in the design/visual communication profession. Work with design faculty who are professionals in the field to learn basic and advanced principles of visual art and design while developing technical skills with digital technologies. The Graphic and Interactive Design Certificate will prepare you with a portfolio of work through project-based design courses.

The Adobe Creative Cloud software is included for all design students and used throughout the curriculum.

Through the Graphic and Interactive Design Certificate Program at Seton Hill, you will:

  • Develop the knowledge and skills required for production and entry-level jobs in either print or web design.
  • Benefit from face-to-face instruction in art and design courses taught by expert faculty designers.
  • Enjoy the design studios and cutting-edge resources of Seton Hill’s award-winning Arts Center.
  • Use industry-standard Apple devices and Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Create a professional portfolio of work through project-based courses.

At Seton Hill, students often earn a graphic design certificate while studying another major such as business, marketing or writing. It’s a good way to increase your skillset and job options after graduation. You can also earn this certificate as an addition to a bachelor’s degree you have already earned. (You’ll qualify for a tuition discount as a postbaccalaureate student.)
