Here are some things to keep in mind as you transition from prospective student to incoming Griffin.

Stay Connected: Check Your Email(s)

After you're accepted you'll start receiving emails at both your new Seton Hill University email address and the one you used on your application. Be on the lookout for updates from:

  • Undergraduate Admissions
  • Student Life
  • Residence Life
  • Health Services
  • And more!

Your email is the fastest way to stay on top of deadlines, resources and next steps - so check it often!

Getting Started

To become an official Griffin, you'll need to complete a few important steps. Head to your Admissions Portal to find your personalized checklist and updates from our Admissions Team.

Inside your portal, you'll find instructions on how to:

  • Register for Setonian Orientation. At Orientation, you'll schedule classes, get your Student ID and technology, and meet your future classmates. (Orientation is required for everyone.)
  • Activate your MySHU Account and SHU Email. MySHU is our campus hub for news, announcements and all things Griffin Life.
  • Complete Placement Exams. These short surveys help us to get you registered in the correct classes.
  • Submit Your Medical Info. You'll be guided to fill out a questionnaire and upload required records through our Wellness Portal.
