Seton Hill Community Celebrates “Lunch with Liz” March 20

What:  Seton Hill University will host its annual “Lunch with Liz” program, celebrating the life and history of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, founder of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill – the University’s founding order. The event helps the Seton Hill community become familiar with Elizabeth Ann Seton and aware of how her spirit continues to direct and enliven the life of the Sisters of Charity and Seton Hill University. This year’s theme is “100 Years Forward,” and celebrates the Centennial Year of Seton Hill’s founding as a four-year college for women in 1918.

When: Tuesday, March 20, 2018; 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

Where: Cecilian Hall, Second Floor, Administration Building, Seton Hill University’s hilltop campus in Greensburg, Pa.

Who:  Seton Hill University students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill.

Background: During the Lunch with Liz program, “100 Years Forward,” the Seton Hill community will share the story of Seton Hill’s founding as a four-year college in 1918 by the Sisters of Charity and how the Sisters and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton continue to influence the university today.

As Seton Hill University marks its Centennial in 2018, the event will include a theatrical presentation with students portraying various members of the Seton Hill community throughout the past 100 years and will explore Elizabeth Ann Seton’s legacy through the Sisters of Charity and the University.
