Griffin Women Fourth, Men Seventh After Day One of PSAC Championships; Hockman Wins Long Jump Title



The Griffin track teams took part in their first ever PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at Bucknell University.  After day one, the Griffin women sit in fourth place with 20 points and the Griffin men sit in seventh place with 11 points.  Taylor Hockman won the first ever PSAC Track and Field Individual Championship with a first place finish in the long jump (7.28m).  Algeron Johnson currently sits in fifth place after one day of the heptathlon.  On the women's side, Nicole Malara finished second in the pentathlon with 3,190 points.  Vicki Miller was second in the weight throw (16.71m) and Jeannie Bujdos was fifth in the 5000m run with a time of 18:12.18.  The championships will conclude with day two on Sunday.
